New Poll Brewing! I Have a Week Open Coming Up-Where Should I Go??!

After receiving many requests lately to come back to certain cities/clubs I’ve decided to have fun with it and see who wants me to appear the most in their city out here in Central/East Canada. So far, Brandon, Manitoba and Thunderbay, Ontario are neck in neck with votes, totally duking it out! Then Winnipeg (Adelaide, Edmonton and Victoria had many votes as well but not in the same area as my current tour. But thx! Good to know where peeps want to see me) You can vote on my Facebook profile, Janine Jericho, leave a comment or send me an email.

This a perfect way to pursuade me to come play on your stage, and of course, it’ll be ALL my pleasure!

Just graced the stage for a third time at this wonderful gentlemen`s club. One thing I really like about working here is that you can get as messy as you want for your shows and you all know I loooove to get dirrty! Paint followed by turining the stage into an all out slip n slide watershow-SO much fun! This was a huge week-40 shows and 2 stags! Crazy! I ended up meeting a girl I knew from years ago and she was so surprised to see me. You see, I actually was on a hiatus from the dancing scene for quite a while. I worked in the music industry managing and singing in my own band for a few years and had achieved many great heights such as singing for Jay Leno on the Tonight Show, appearing on many television shows such as E! T.V. and Breafast Television but most importantly, cultivating a fan base across Canada and in parts of the States. After we disbanded, I needed some time to regroup and decide what I wanted to do. While I was deliberating on what to do with my music it was time for me to get a `real job` and due to my passion for fitness and travel those were the positioned I applied for. At that point I had put dancing on the back burner. Actually, I became quite conservative in those years away from the stage. You could say from `Nude to Prude`. lol From hanging upside, swinging on poles naked to an all out soccer mom. lol

I walked into a local gym to drop off an application and happened to be speaking with the manager, who then, just hired me on the spot. In a short time I became their top producer in sales, moved up into management and proceeded to get my personal training certification and was working hands on with clients helping them to achieve their highest potential. Ireally enjoyed my job but really began to feel like I was living in a box. I started to feel like I wanted to work for myself rather than working for someone else. Accompanied with this feeling of wanting to do more, I had just gone through a three period of almost every challenge a person could be faced with from a divorce, losing four family members, (the most significant, my mother) and then went through a heartbreak. Oh yes, my cat did run away, too, so I guess this really can be turned into a country song! lol But on a serious note, I don`t look at these challenges as negative, just huge opportunities for growth. Guess my soul was starving for growth and that it did.

Anyway, as circumstances would have it, I was approached by a few people encouraging me to grace the stage again, that the industry was lacking high quality feature performers (not too many showgirls left)and so decided to do a 4 week booking in Australia and have just keept moving forward in full force ever since. I have to say that I`m thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. And with all of my flexibility, strength holds and gymnastics that I learned in competing in fitness, my shows are above and beyond what I used to do and so I just keep evolving as an entertainer. Now you`ll be able to appreciate the girl`s extreme surprise to see me.

On a wilder note, here`s a juicy story for you all. One evening after work, I get a knock on my door. Now it`s 2:30am and I`m already in bed so I`m thinking, `Who the heck could this be..` Well low and behold it`s one of the sexiest girls I`m working with, wearing a see through white dress and she started groping herself. She then proceeded to do cartwheels naked down the hallway! That`s all I`m sharing! Needless to say, it was an eventful night 😉

Well hello all! Sorry for delay in my blogs but was on vacation (went to Vegas, would share stories but as you know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas lol) and also had some issues with locating internet cafes in the places I was working so it put me behind a little but I’m back in action!

Have to say that I’m loving working in Central Canada. In Winnipeg they have 40 strip clubs-it’s a thriving industry out here and more are opening. What i enjoy is that the clubs are still based around the stage shows. Although the girls aren’t yet putting on full out showgirl style shows, they are hotties and many know a lot of pole work.

Entertaining to watch and so much potential to bring back the old school style of feature performances which once used to be the norm in the industry but has fizzled over the last 10 years due to clubs not wanting to pay for top quality shows and focusing more on the table dancing. I think clubs have forgotten that men and women still want to be entertained and completely appreciate a good performance.

I had a customer notice that there was a girl who seemed to be imitating a few things I do on stage and asked if it bothered me and if there was a lot of cattiness or animosity within the groups of girls working. I said that I take it as a compliment if someone wants to use any of my ideas or moves-guess I’m doing something right! And that I think the industry needs more girls who are ambitious enough to evolve their shows and put on a high caliber performance. I will give advice and tips to anyone who asks. I would love to see an upswing in the substance a girl delivers to the stage. The better the shows, the more full the bars will be, not to mention it would be great to bring this industry back up in terms of quality. Take away quality stage shows, take away your audience. I’m seeing that happen in other provinces where the dancing industry used to thrive.

Anyways, back to working in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg they have this thing called “jamming” where you bounce around from bar to bar. In a usual week I get between 12-16 shows, in Winnipeg I get between 30-40! Thank goodness for my fitness competing background where I’m used to training up to three hours per day. AND…I love it! I enjoy the hustle and bustle and constantly being on the go. Not to mention that it’s a lot more opportunity to receive tips and meet a lot more people. What I found interesting is that each place has it’s own kind of clientelle, very unique from the next one but yet some of these pubs are just down the street from one another.

They all have their regulars and their own vibe. For example, the Marion, the pub I was at during the day, was an older, blue collar pub and Solid Gold, the place I worked at in the evenings was more of a nightclub feel. It was wonderful working in Winnipeg because my shows were so well received and I generated a mini following almost instantly where customers would follow me from bar to bar as I jammed. It had been a while since they’d seen bigger shows and it was immensely appreciated. Definitely made me enjoy my job even more!

It’s funny, during the week there was a bomb threat, tornado warning and flooding on the roads but yet…not a show cancelled or missed! The shows must go on!
